Hi
I am on the data base of the Knowledge Bank & they have offered free attendance to a 2 day seminar on the Sunshine Coast with a company called Fintel (Financial Intelligence) run by a lady called Tania Oakley.
The supposed normal price is $2000.
2 Questions, has anybody heard of this lady/company & if anybody else is attending from Brisbane (it is on this week end) how about car pooling.
As a matter of interest I have just heard that the Knowledge Bank run by a guy called John Giann has just gone belly up although this should not affect the Fintel situation. |

please just as a heads up. I am one of their clients. I WAS RIPPED OFF.
Tania oakley is a scam merchant. I was involved with her property unit trust investment scheme, and she has now left, they are moving office and she is doing a runner. She is bad people. I will never see my money again. I have lost over 50K and i am stressed.
Tania oakley may come across as great but, she is under investigation by ASIC for alleged losing over $2 million dollars on the market. It was a fund with her clients, and she is under investigation for not setting it up legitimately. What a scam merchant. Those people will now probably not see her money either. Horrible.
Tania oakley and her staff were not talking to me, but when you do get someone in the office they say she is not there....or just at home. NOT GOOD!
In my book. TANIA OAKLEY IS A SCAM MERCHANT. please be careful. Dont get involved with her. You will regret it forever.

Hi Quintrex,
I would just like to say to you that I am very disgruntled with what you have posted here. You need to get the facts correct before you mouth off about someones reputation.
I am a long standing EXCEPTIONALLY happy client of Tania's and I think I could probably anwser most of your out of line comments.
1. FIRSTLY, I have not ever heard of this property unit trust investment scheme in the whole time I have been attending her client workshops (5 years) , so I am suggesting that whatever you are speaking off is totally seperate to FINTEL, which is a very well run share trading education business, not a property buying business. ???
2. Moving office. It is no secret she has been moving office for quite some time and has been announced in our workshops. FINTEL has moved from a rented space to a now owned premises about 100 metres away from the last office. SHE HAS CERTAINLY NOT DONE A RUNNER, as you put it. If you live close to her old office, you might like to look at the signs in the window stating where they have moved to.
3. Her staff are always willing to answer questions when I call and are very helpful, also traders themselves. It is widely known by all of us that she does not work from the office and never has, but from her home. She also makes most of her money at night so is not available for most of the day because I would assume she sleeps!
4. Asic - I would imagine its not uncommon to invetigate her type of business because YES, some are scammers. Her company FINTEL, has been runnig for 9 years, if she was a scammer, dont you think it might have been closed down by now??
5. As for loosing 2 million. She tells us many stories of her experiences, one in particular where she put $10,000 into an account, trialling a new strategy, expecting to lose all of it, she closed if off at over a million a couple of months later, so assuming this is just one of her accounts that she trades, I suspect that if your assumption is true Quintrex, a 2 million loss is probably not too much of a problem to her in her day to day trading.
FINTEL is a very well run education business that specialises in Share Trading. Both Tania and Rob Lennox are very well repected traders and teach us from their experiences, their successes and their errors. I have learnt an amazing amount of information from these two passionate people and can highly recommend what they do. She is not in this to make money, she makes enough on her own I am sure, but believe it or not I ACTUALLY think she does this because she likes to teach us and gets great satisfaction out of seeing her clients do well.
I suggest, Quintrex, you should not confuse something completely seperate with FINTEL (your response was to a FINTEL workshop!) and pull your head in and sort out whatever the problem is privately. You state that you are a client. There are workshops EVERY month, I would assume you are utilising your access to her and attending? Why would you not speak to her at these workshops? She is very approachable. Its seems very unprofessional to do what you have done here. |

I have not 'done a runner', Fintel has moved across the road as has been advertised for the past 6 months. I have never worked out of the Fintel office in all of the years it has been open.
The 'Property Scheme' being referred to here is a private joint venture unit trust which I am the trustee of. It is in the process of being wound down and has been held up by a lack of information needed to finalise the financials. 'Quintrex' has not lost his/her money. They will get exactly what they are supposed to get when the proper procedure has been completed.
Fintel does not promote 'investment schemes' and never has.
Fintel runs at a loss and has been supplemented by me since it started in 2002. I have continued it on all these years because I like my students and I think I'm a good teacher... I enjoy it.
However, having a disgruntled person posting their assumptions all over the internet trashing my reputation, is not something I'm prepared to subject myself to.
a) Lots of non-scammers are regularly looked at and investigated by ASIC too.
b) It is not illegal to lose money trading, or a 'scam' to do so. I have regularly made and lost very large amounts of money in the course of my trading career and am always honest about my experiences to anyone who cares to ask.
c) I do not run an 'investment fund'. My personal business dealings with other people are my own and have nothing to do with Fintel nor should they be anybody else's business.
Finally, Quintrex, thankyou for helping me make the decision to retire from teaching and the public eye. I will honor my obligation to all current students... but new membership will be closed.
Kind Regards
Tania O. |
